Important Notice on your email:
Danger ! Do not open the attachment !
Start from year 2004 some people keep receiving virus emails from some
well-known website, such as, symantec.com, yahoo.com, hotmail.com, hostlike.com, bell.com. Actually all those emails were sent from
virus makers or hackers and not from the visual sender in the email. If you click on the attachment, the virus or Trojan will be spread over your
computer and keep sending the same emails to all the email addresses stored in
your address book. They might send out all your information on the computer!
Identify:
Some file extension have been identified to be the characteristic of the virus:
.pif, .scr, .exe, .zip, .doc, ... If you find the attachment with these extension, mostly they are virus.
Examples of the attached file names:
account-info.zip
account-report.zip
document.zip
accepted-password.zip
letter.zip
document.pif
youraccount.pif
report.pif
message.scr
website.exe
file.doc
Possible Solutions:
1. Do not open the attachment, delete it immediately unless you are sure it
is virus free.
2. Install anti-virus software and keep enabling Auto-protection option.
3. Install anti-spyware software and keep enabling run-time protection.
